In January 2020, the life of 38-year-old Karen Morales was tragically cut short in what police have described as a domestic violence-related homicide. Found deceased in her south Denver home, the circumstances of her death soon led to the arrest of her boyfriend, Thomas Garcia. He was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder, leaving family and friends to grapple with the sudden and violent loss of a woman they remember as beautiful, energetic, and incredibly caring.
