In the pre-dawn hours of August 15, 2015, in Carson City, Nevada, the life of 35-year-old Carl G. Howell, a White/Caucasian male, was cut tragically short. A nine-year veteran of the Carson City Sheriff's Office and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Howell was responding to a domestic battery call on Montez Drive at approximately 2:20 a.m. a call that would prove to be his last. The initial report indicated a woman had been injured, and upon arrival, deputies found her in front of the residence.
