In the early evening of November 28, 2021, the residential neighborhood of Buena Vista in Southeast Washington, D.C. was disrupted by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 6:29 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District were dispatched to the 3000 block of 30th Street, Southeast, following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
