On the evening of November 5, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Northeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the 100 block of Taussig Place, Northeast, at approximately 9:00 PM, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Antwonne Turner, a Black male from Fort Washington, Maryland.
