On October 9, 2016, seven-month-old Jayden Eric Redden and 20-year-old Gustav Duane Christianson II were fatally shot in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The tragic incident occurred when Jquan McInnis, then 17 years old, opened fire on a vehicle parked near 26th Street East and 11th Avenue South. McInnis fired six shots into the car, killing Christianson instantly. As he was leaving, he fired one more shot through the car's back window, which struck and killed Jayden, who was seated in his car seat.
