In the early morning hours of July 4, 2021, a bustling area of Louisville, Kentucky, known for its nightlife, became the scene of a fatal shooting. At approximately 2 a.m. in the 900 block of Baxter Avenue, 39-year-old Tyrone Enoch Roberts, a Black male, was shot. When Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived, they found Roberts suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for medical attention.
