In the Park Duvalle neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a quiet Sunday morning was shattered by the sound of gunfire on April 25, 2021. In the yard of a home in the 1800 block of Wenatchee Place, authorities found the body of Victor L. Shacklette, a 52-year-old Black male. He had sustained fatal injuries from a shooting and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before noon.
