Shawn Ann McClenahan, born on May 30, 1958, in Walla Walla, Washington, was found dead on December 26, 1997, in Spokane, Washington. McClenahan had a background in healthcare, having received her ward secretarial and phlebotomist's certification from Spokane Community College and worked at both Deaconess and Sacred Heart medical centers. Despite her professional achievements, her life took a tragic turn when she became one of the victims of the Spokane serial killer, Robert Lee Yates Jr.
