In the early hours of Father's Day, June 21, 2020, a shooting in Milwaukee claimed the life of 31-year-old Dieria Walton Stokes, a Black/African American male. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 32nd and West Fairmount. Stokes was driving his vehicle when an unknown assailant or assailants opened fire, striking his car multiple times.
