In the line of duty, 27-year-old Jackson police officer Brian Ronald Kinsey, a White/Caucasian male, was fatally shot on October 22, 1997. Officer Kinsey, a five-year veteran of the department, was responding to a domestic disturbance call with his rookie partner.
