In the late spring of 2022, a shooting in Flint, Michigan, claimed the life of 30-year-old Kivon Louis Sykes. Born on November 20, 1991, in Flint, Sykes was a Black or African American male who was a lifelong resident of the city. He attended Flint Community Schools and later graduated from Flint Beecher High School. Known as a family man, he was a father to three sons.
