Aaron Marquise Holmes, a 23-year-old resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan, tragically lost his life on May 8, 2021. Holmes was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred outside the Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo East hotel. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to reports of shots fired around 10 p.m. on the night of the incident. Upon arrival, officers found Holmes with a gunshot wound and immediately transported him to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
