John Laverette, a 26-year-old man from Ohio, tragically lost his life on May 2, 2021, in River Rouge, Michigan. The incident occurred at a residence on Linden Street, where River Rouge police responded to a reported shooting at approximately 4:13 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Laverette unresponsive on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medics who transported him to a nearby hospital, Laverette was pronounced dead shortly after.
