Chinyelu Humphrey, a 23-year-old resident of Highland Park, Michigan, tragically lost his life on January 26, 2021. Humphrey, the son of community leader Shamayim Harris, known as "Mama Shu," was ambushed and shot multiple times by two gunmen. The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. when the assailants approached Humphrey and opened fire. Despite his efforts to seek help by going to a friend's house and calling 911, Humphrey succumbed to his injuries.
