Derek Wade Peterson II, an 18-year-old from Muskegon, Michigan, tragically passed away on June 5, 2019. His death was a result of a shooting incident that occurred in Muskegon Heights. Derek was found shot in the head while seated in the driver's seat of a vehicle on 6th Street near Broadway Avenue. The incident was not random, as police indicated that Derek and the suspect knew each other.
