Martez Norwood, a 26-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on June 26, 2011. On that fateful day, the Detroit Police and Fire Department responded to a call in the 19000 block of Westmoreland near 7 Mile Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of Martez Norwood and 24-year-old Charles Reid inside a home that had been set on fire. Both men had been shot before the fire was started, making this a particularly heinous crime.
