Ravel Trejo, a 32-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Paterson, New Jersey. At approximately 9:11 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting and found Trejo lying on the sidewalk of Northwest Street, behind 160 West Broadway, with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and attempted to treat him, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the location.
