In the late afternoon of a brisk November day in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 20-year-old Devion Burch was tragically cut short. On November 28, 2016, police were called to a residence in the 100 block of South 10th Street around 4:00 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Inside the home, they discovered the unresponsive young man, who had sustained a gunshot wound.
