In the summer of 2013, a sense of unease settled over the Seasons Condominium complex in Alexandria, Virginia. On the evening of Wednesday, July 24th, the residents' peaceful lives were disrupted by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of shots fired, Alexandria police arrived at the 400 block of North Armistead Street around 5:30 p.m. In a rear stairwell of one of the buildings, they discovered the body of a man who had been shot.
