Kody Michael Scrunton, a 17-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2011, in Virginia Beach. Kody was known for his love of skateboarding, video games, music, and spending time with family and friends. He had a big heart and was loved by many^1^. At the time of his death, Kody was living with his girlfriend in Norfolk's Ocean View and had aspirations of returning to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to complete his GED and join the Navy^2^.
