On a Tuesday morning in Indianapolis, the life of 30-year-old Dustin Alan Phipps came to an abrupt and violent end. The male victim was at a Marathon gas station on Southeastern Avenue on November 15, 2022, when a confrontation unfolded that would leave him fatally wounded. Events began to spiral when Anvictor Butler, then 46, went inside the gas station, leaving his Chevrolet Malibu unattended. It was then that Phipps entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away.
