In the late hours of a Wednesday in South Bend, Indiana, the life of 37-year-old Christopher Dwayne Yakim was tragically cut short by senseless gun violence. On September 28, 2022, what began as a dispute between Yakim and his girlfriend at a gas station escalated into a fatal confrontation at his home in the 2100 block of South Michigan Street.
