On the evening of October 5, 2021, Dailon Downing, a 28-year-old Black/African American male, was fatally shot in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 PM at a motel situated near the intersection of Shadeland Avenue and East 30th Street on the city's east side.
