On a tragic Labor Day in Indianapolis, a vibrant 23-year-old Black/African American woman named Anya E. J. West, known affectionately as 'Veego,' lost her life to gun violence. The incident that led to her untimely death occurred on September 6, 2021, at Windsor Village Park on the city's east side. Around 3 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of East 24th Street and North Kitley Avenue where they found Anya with a gunshot wound.
