In the early evening of August 9, 2021, 63-year-old Kenneth Harper was found shot to death on the east side of Indianapolis. The male victim, who was Black/African American, was discovered along the 2800 block of Brookside Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene in response to a report of a person shot, they found Mr. Harper with a fatal gunshot wound.
