In the summer of 2021, the life of Michael Joseph McDowell, a 65-year-old man, was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. On July 3, 2021, McDowell was fatally shot in the head inside an apartment on the city's northeast side, near 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road. He was a man known for his willingness to help those less fortunate, a friend to all and a stranger to none, with a great sense of humor.
