Eugene Richard Lynn Scott, a 22-year-old White/Caucasian man, was killed on the evening of February 20, 2021, in South Bend, Indiana. Scott, known to many relatives and friends as "Gino," had been riding a snowmobile through the city, something investigators later said was not unusual for him. At approximately 7:00 p.m., South Bend police were sent to the 1200 block of North Brookfield Street after the ShotSpotter gunfire-detection system registered shots in the area.
