In the early hours of a Saturday in South Bend, Indiana, the life of 24-year-old De Ashay Thompson was tragically cut short. On March 14, 2020, at approximately 2:30 a.m., police were called to a Phillips 66 gas station on Lafayette Street following reports of gunfire.
