In the evening hours of September 20, 2018, the life of 19-year-old Nathan Burnett was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. A young Black man, Burnett was found by officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department at the intersection of East 10th and North Oxford streets after they responded to reports of gunfire in the area. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
