In the late hours of a Wednesday in August 2016, the life of 41-year-old Ivan Barnes, a male resident of Indianapolis, was cut short by gunfire. The fatal shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on the city's northeast side, in the vicinity of 31st Street and Gladstone Avenue.
