In the spring of 2016, a burst of violence on a Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis led to the death of 30-year-old Jakoby Scott. The male victim was shot around noon on May 15, 2016, near the intersection of 34th Street and Keystone Avenue. First responders found Scott at the scene with a gunshot wound to his stomach and rushed him to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
