In the spring of 2014, the life of 36-year-old Virgil Tyrone Bailey was cut short by an act of gun violence in Gary, Indiana. On March 27, Bailey, a male resident of nearby Hammond, was found shot and subsequently died from his injuries. At the time of his death, he had recently started a new job through Express Employment at Specialty Food Group in Valparaiso.
