In the late hours of a Thursday night in St. Louis, tragedy befell 33-year-old Donte Butler. On May 5, 2022, Butler was discovered in Fairground Park, having been fatally shot. The discovery was made just before 11 p.m. in the 4000 block of Fair Avenue, an area not far from his own home. He was found inside the park, having sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
