In January 2026, an unclaimed individual was discovered unresponsive on a sidewalk in Long Beach, California. The man, later identified as Scott Edwin Collins, was quickly transported to a nearby hospital. Despite medical staff's efforts, he was subsequently pronounced dead at the facility.
