On January 19, 2026, at approximately 9:40 PM, the body of Benitez-Rodriguez Jairo Omar was discovered unresponsive on the side of the road near South Olive Street, just north of West 111th Place in Los Angeles, California. Upon this alarming discovery, a 911 call was placed, prompting the Los Angeles Police Department and paramedics to swiftly respond to the scene in hopes of rendering aid.
