In the quiet, late-night hours of October 21, 2020, an ordinary evening took a tragic turn when a Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus came to a routine stop at a Walmart on Dennery Road in San Diego, California. As passengers disembarked, the bus driver noticed an alarming scene involving a man who appeared to be unresponsive, seated in a walker. This individual was later identified as Gerard Oblonczek, though little else was initially known about him.
