Introduction

The city of Louisville was shaken on October 16, 2015, by a tragic event that claimed the lives of two individuals and left a community searching for answers. Among the victims was 28-year-old Jessica Rae Shadowens, whose untimely death remains an unsolved mystery, leaving her family and friends yearning for justice.

The Incident

In the early hours of that fateful day, a shooting occurred in Louisville's Portland neighborhood. Louisville Metro Police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Northwestern Parkway, where they discovered two individuals deceased and a third person injured. The victims were identified as Jessica Rae Shadowens and 55-year-old August J. DiChiara. The third victim was transported to University Hospital and was expected to survive.
