On a sunny afternoon, Arbery set out for a jog in the Satilla Shores neighborhood, a routine he often followed to maintain his fitness. Unbeknownst to him, this run would be his last. Gregory McMichael, a retired investigator, and his son, Travis McMichael, armed themselves and pursued Arbery in their pickup truck, suspecting him of recent neighborhood break-ins.
