The Man Behind the Escapes: Jimmy Causey's Criminal Background

Jimmy Causey, a South Carolina native, has a long history of criminal activity dating back to the early 1990s. His offenses include grand larceny, burglary, and kidnapping. In 2002, he committed a high-profile crime by invading the home of his former defense attorney, Jack Swerling, holding him and his family at gunpoint. Causey believed Swerling had not adequately defended him in previous cases.
