Kristina Ashe Olsen was a 50-year-old woman residing in Sebastopol, California. Described as a petite woman, standing 5'2" and weighing approximately 102 pounds, she had blonde hair and blue eyes, and was known to wear eyeglasses. Olsen also had pierced ears and was known to use several aliases, including Kristine Ashe, Kristine Olsen, Kristine Gresset, and Crystal Cathexis Olsen .
On April 3, 2008, Olsen checked into a motel in Weaverville, California. This would be the last confirmed sighting of her. She was reported missing on April 7, 2008, after her sister in Washington state received a letter postmarked April 3, which contained a suicide note, along with Olsen's credit cards and vehicle registration .
Later on April 7, 2008, Olsen's white Toyota pickup truck was found abandoned at the East Beach parking area in the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in Shasta County, California. The location of the vehicle raised concerns, as investigators were unsure why she would have gone there. An extensive search of the park yielded no clues as to her whereabouts .
Search-and-rescue teams, including Shasta County sheriff's crews and park rangers, conducted thorough searches on foot and horseback in the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did.
