A Mother’s Errand That Ended in Silence

Charla Maria Ghost, a 19-year-old Native American woman and member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, vanished on December 26, 1990, in Oakland, California. That day, she left her home to visit a corner store and pick up medicine for her 8-month-old daughter. She never returned and has not been seen or heard from since.

At the time of her disappearance, Charla was described as being 5'2" to 5'3" tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
