In the autumn of 2022, concern began to grow for 39-year-old Derek Alan Reece, a citizen of the Choctaw Nation, who was last seen in Mounds, Oklahoma. A talented artist and avid skateboarder, Derek was known by friends and family for his gentle nature. He had been working at the Bethesda Boys Home in Mounds, the same facility where he had successfully completed a nine-month rehabilitation program.
