In the spring of 2006, a 25-year-old man named Brian Keith Morrison disappeared from Sedro-Woolley, Washington, leaving behind a life that many would have considered full and promising. On May 22nd of that year, Brian was last seen in the small city nestled in the Skagit Valley. Born in nearby Mount Vernon, he was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had pursued his passion for creativity by studying graphic design for two years at Shoreline Community College. At the time he went missing, he was employed at National Glass in Woodinville and was also an active musician, playing in a band called Die Trying. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance began to unfold when he failed to show up for work, an act that was presumably out of character. The investigation into Brian's whereabouts soon led authorities to the iconic Deception Pass Bridge. There, they discovered his gold 1996 Honda Accord parked and abandoned. The discovery of the vehicle was alarming, but what was found inside painted a much grimmer picture of the situation. A note, believed to be a suicide note, was located within the car, leading investigators and his loved ones to a heartbreaking conclusion. This finding shifted the focus of the search from a standard missing person case to a presumed drowning, a tragic turn in the life of a young man with a future in design and music. Despite the discovery of the note and his car, Brian Keith Morrison has never been found. The vast and powerful waters beneath the Deception Pass Bridge have held their secrets, and no remains have ever been recovered to offer definitive closure to his family and friends. Officially, he is presumed to be deceased, and his case is classified as a lost or injured missing person. The Skagit County Sheriff's Office handled the investigation into his disappearance. The case remains a sorrowful mystery, a story of a young man who vanished, leaving behind only echoes of his presence and the lingering question of his final moments. The absence of concrete evidence has left a painful void for those who knew him, a narrative without a final chapter.
