In the autumn of 2001, a young man named Terence Michael Washington, just 19 years old, vanished from his life in Alexandria, Virginia. The last confirmed sighting of Terence was on November 14, 2001. A few days prior, on November 9th, he had a conversation with his mother, a conversation that would unknowingly be their last. From that point on, silence descended upon his family and friends, as Terence was never seen or heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Black male, standing between 5'8" and 5'11" and weighing around 150 to 160 pounds. He had black hair, typically kept in a close-cut style, and large, bright brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black clothing and black shoes. Terence's physical appearance was marked by several distinct features that his family hoped would aid in his identification. He had a two-and-a-half-inch scar on his lower back, just above his waist. Another prominent scar, shaped like a crescent moon, stretched from his front left shoulder, over the shoulder, and ended under his arm, a remnant of a previous surgery to correct a dislocation. He also had two tattoos: the word "Conglomerate" on his lower right arm and "Mama Dot" on his left biceps. He was known to have a light mustache and some hair on his chin. The circumstances surrounding Terence's disappearance remain shrouded in mystery, with very few details available to the public or investigators. In the void left by a lack of concrete information, rumors began to circulate, suggesting a grim fate for the missing young man. There was talk that he may have been murdered, his body dismembered, and then discarded in a river. However, these stories have never been substantiated and remain unconfirmed whispers in a case that has grown cold over the years. It was noted that Terence smoked marijuana around the time he went missing, but it is unknown if this is connected to his disappearance. The Alexandria Police Department has been the investigating agency for this case, holding onto the hope that new information might one day surface and provide the answers that Terence's loved ones have been seeking for decades.
