On September 15, 2008, 80-year-old Robert Nakashima Sr. was reported missing in Kauai County, Hawaii. He had gone on a solo fishing trip to Rock Quarry Beach in Kilauea and failed to return home. Concern grew among family and friends when he did not come back by late afternoon, prompting them to search for him. Their search led to the discovery of his pickup truck near the area.
