Andrew Karis, a 19-year-old student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was last seen on campus on March 1, 1993. Karis, a sophomore majoring in Electrical Engineering, was described as a private individual with a small group of friends. Originally from San Francisco, he had been in contact with his mother and had expressed that he was having a difficult time at school, believed to be related to social issues rather than academics.
