In the winter of 2008, a 35-year-old man named Christopher Joseph Hargitt from Vernon, British Columbia, embarked on a drive to Vancouver. On February 2nd of that year, he was seen for the last time by an associate whom he had dropped off near the PNE Fairgrounds. After this brief encounter, Christopher seemed to vanish without a trace.
