Instead, it was later discovered that he had traveled to a friend's house in Kanata. Finding his friend not at home, he knocked on a neighbor's door and asked to use their bathroom. The timeline becomes less clear after this point, but at 7:00 p.m., well after he was due to return, Yves called his grandmother. He told her he had been delayed and would be home soon. This phone call was the last time anyone ever heard from or saw Yves Jodouin. He had only a few dollars in his pocket when he vanished. In the years since his disappearance, the case has remained cold, leaving his family with lingering uncertainty. The location from which he made his final phone call has never been identified.
