On a summer day in Montreal, Quebec, a 34-year-old man named Jimmy Larrivée vanished, leaving behind a void of unanswered questions for his family. The last time he was seen was on August 27, 2011. On that particular day, Larrivée had mentioned to others that he was planning to spend the day in Rigaud. His last known location was a tanning salon situated on Monk Boulevard in the Ville-Émard area of Montreal. From that point on, all communication from him ceased, and no one has reported seeing or hearing from him since. At the time of his disappearance, he stood at approximately 5'8" and weighed around 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, and black shoes. He may have also been wearing a brown necklace with a cross-shaped pendant. Distinguishing marks on his body included a scar on his left shoulder blade and a burn mark on his right arm. The silence that followed Jimmy Larrivée's disappearance has been a heavy burden for his loved ones. His mother, in particular, has expressed the profound anxiety and distress that has accompanied the absence of her son. The family's life was thrown into turmoil, with both his mother and his 18-year-old sister requiring medication to cope with the overwhelming stress of the situation. In their desperate search for answers, his family and friends turned to social media, creating a Facebook page in the hopes that someone, somewhere, might have information that could lead to his whereabouts. The plea from his mother was simple and heartbreaking: for anyone with knowledge of what happened to come forward, even anonymously, to provide some measure of peace by letting them know where he is. The circumstances surrounding Jimmy Larrivée's disappearance are complex. According to his mother, he had a difficult past and was known to have been involved with criminal motorcycle groups. He also struggled with drug use and had reportedly been consuming "speed" almost daily shortly before he went missing. In the days leading up to his disappearance, he had made several calls to his mother. Some of those close to him believe he may have continued to associate with individuals from his past, and law enforcement reportedly cautioned some of Larrivée's relatives to be vigilant in the wake of his disappearance. The investigation into his case is being handled by the Montreal Police Service, who have shared his profile in the hopes of generating new leads. Despite the passage of time, the case remains an unsolved missing person investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter in the lives of those who continue to wait for news of Jimmy Larrivée.
