In the late summer of 2002, a man named Pierre Paul Proulx, then 35 years old, vanished from his home in Montreal, Quebec, leaving behind a life and a community that held him dear. On August 8th of that year, Mr. Proulx was in his apartment in the Mont-Royal district when he received a telephone call. Shortly after, he was seen leaving his residence and driving away in his vehicle. This would be the last time he was seen by anyone who knew him. In the days that followed, a silence grew, one that was uncharacteristic of Mr. Proulx, who was known to be in contact with his loved ones. The absence of any communication became a source of deep concern, prompting his family to take action. The initial hope that he had perhaps taken an impromptu trip or was simply out of touch soon faded, replaced by a growing sense of unease. On August 21, 2002, with no word of his whereabouts, Pierre Paul Proulx was officially reported as a missing person to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 5'10" and weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He had a tattoo of a panther head on one of his shoulders and a gold loop earring in his left ear. When he left his apartment, he was believed to be wearing a white sweater, blue jean shorts, and brown and orange Nike running shoes. Years have passed since Pierre Paul Proulx drove away from his home, and despite the passage of time, his case remains an unresolved and open investigation. The circumstances surrounding the phone call he received just before he left remain a central and unanswered question in his disappearance. Since that day in August 2002, there has been no activity on his bank accounts and no verifiable sightings of him. The lack of any new information has left his family and friends in a prolonged state of uncertainty, grappling with the pain of not knowing what happened to him. The investigation into the disappearance of Pierre Paul Proulx continues, a somber reminder of a life interrupted and the enduring hope for answers that might one day bring closure to those who have waited for so long.
